Brief Bio
John Costello, born in Coventry, Connecticut began playing bass and singing at age seven. By the age of 14 he played the Holiday Inn circuit with his brother, Michael Costello, guitarist and singer. He comes from a musical background. His mother, an accomplished pianist and singer, his father, a harmonica player. He has three brothers(2 guitar players, and one drummer). His 2 sisters sing, and his son, John Costello, Jr., is a drummer in Oklahoma.
John played bass with guitarist Pat Mills of the popular Stonehouse Road Band in Connecticut. He has played with such greats as Tommy Dion(drummer for Kenny Rogers), Charles Calmese(played with Steve Miller, Chuck Berry, Matt Murphy).
John performed with local New Orleans' dance band SummerBreeze for the last 5 years. He now resides in Marrero, Louisiana with his wife Wanda, and owns and operates COSTELLO PLUMBING. |
